Thomas Gainsborough (May, 14, 1727 - August, 2, 1788) was an English painter. He was one of the most famous landscape and portrait artists in Britain of his time. Among his most famous pictures are the following: "Mr and Mrs Andrews" (1749), "The Blue Boy" (1770), "Mr and Mrs William Hallett" (1785), "Landscape in Suffolk" (1748), "The Harvest Wagon" (1767), "Cottage Girl with Dog and pitcher" (1785).
