Place de l’Opera is a square located in the 9th arrondissement (district) of Paris. It was built simultaneously with the operahouse - hence the name of the square. Place de l'Opera appeared as part of the Paris renovation plan implemented by George-Eugene Haussmann under the reign of Napoleon III.
